Sin City Prints

I posted here aaaages ago about these prints, while I was actually making them. Well, my portfolio was just sitting there and I had a few minutes of free time - which actually shouldn't be free at all - so *snappy snappy* here's the photos at last.
The print was based on a drawing from a Sin City screencap of Nancy and Hartigan. I still like these enough not to be bitter about having stabbed myself while cutting the lino....

A Smattering of Things

There's a vague title for ya. Just some bits and bobs I've done / was doing and should go back to finish.

Firefly Portraits

Oh, I almost forgot about these ones! Which would have been bad since I'm kinda proud of my Zoe one. I'm getting better at that whole drawing people and having them come out looking like the actual person. I get lucky sometimes.

Inara Serra, Zoe Alleyne Washburne

The L Word portraits

So far I've gotten a few of these done. I'm not overjoyed with them, but I like parts. I am happy with the Jenny/Tim one anyhow. Next time I'll draw from better references, not the back of the dvd box or the disc itself.

BtVS & Angel Cast Portraits

Some Buffy and Angel cast portraits I've done recently. I have an on-going challenge to do the entire casts. Some of the big demons/guests included. Oy!

Dark Willow, Anya Jenkins, Cordelia Chase

Game of Thrones - Collages

You'd think I was drawing Game of Thrones stuff all summer (well, I was reading ASOIAF all summer, so...) but I think most of the pictures from the last few posts were done over a week or two.

Sansa Stark, Cersei Lannister

Game of Thrones - Inks

More from A Song of Ice & Fire! This time featuring me playing around with inks - which are oh so fun!

Arya/Bran Stark, Jon Snow, Robb Stark, Sansa Stark & Sandor Clegane

Game of Thrones Art

I do love my portraits (and, yes, I will get back to my actor A-Z very soon) and I love my fandoms, so I decided to do some cast portraits. Some are more detailed/time consuming, while others are quickies. Here's some of my Game of Thrones ones.

Belated Update

To get this blog back up to date, I'll start with the stuff I just did. A pencil and a marker - chunky ones are most excellent - equals lots of fun. These ones are a mixture of Bitter Ruin (from their Trust video)and Brian Viglione. The last one's colouring pencil, but I like it enough to break the markery motif.

Nail Art & Make-Up : Winter Is Coming

Despite the fact I'm only on the second book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice & Fire series, I got a tad overexcited at the prospect of a midnight launch for the latest book, the fifth. I never read any of the Harry Potter books - or any other series like it - so I wasn't part of the craze of a new book being released. Even so, the midnight launch at The Loft Bookshop here in Dublin was tremendous fun. Plus I got to see some of Game of Thrones on a bigger screen than my laptop.

Anyhow, I hadn't done anything with my nails in months, except for some candystripes the week before, and I thought it'd be fun to try something a bit more ambitious. So, I decided to show my support of House Stark with the direwolf sigil and motto.

I hadn't really done any make-up lately either, so I thought I'd throw that in too! Any why not the whole outfit? I do like to take a theme and run with it...

I am planning to do this with more of the Houses from the series, just for kicks :D
